binders can be found in 8 different colors:

Canadian binder also differs in that the vinyl has a pebbly feel whereas the

Cake decorations came in
many forms and sizes in 1964 with many of these items not licensed by NEMS
Enterprises Ltd. These unlicensed items are still collected as they were
made during the height of Beatlemania even though pricing today has been around $100
per set.

Two other early Cake
Decoration Sets that
were mfg in the 1964 era. Marked "The Swingers" Music Set, these
were mfg in Hong Kong in 1964. This unlicensed item was obviously an
attempt to cash in on The Beatles merchandising whirlwind that happened in

Shown below are the three known types of
Salesman Sample Beatle Calendars from 1964
through 1966: the large 24" x
28" calendar, the small 10" x 14" orange background calendar and the medium
sized blue background 10" x 18" calendar. These items originally
came packaged together in a Salesman Sample Calendar Kit which is described
below. These calendars were all officially licensed by NEMS Enterprises Ltd. circa 1964-1966 and manufactured by
The John Federick Adverting Company, Chicago, Illinois USA and distributed by
the Fine Arts Calendar Fashions Company. Original
lithographs are © Louis Dow Co. 1964. Each calendar is marked NEMS
Enterprises Ltd and have facsimile Beatles autographs on them. These
were used by salespeople in the early
1960's to sell advertising for various products and services. These promotional
calendars have one sample paper calendar month glued to the middle; these
calendars can be found with a sample calendar page either from 1964, 1965 or
1966. The large calendar is marked at bottom of the photograph in fine print "PRINTED IN U.S.A."
and "© 1964 NEMS ENTERPRISES LTD." It is also marked "F-122
BEATLES DIRECT-ON MOUNT" at center of bottom edge. The large
print PRODUCT OR SERVICE AD PRINTED HERE would be replaced by the
business' name once an order was placed. Their slogan and address would be placed under The Beatles
picture replacing the YOUR IMPRINT HERE section.
These calendars originally came together in a large envelope
kit which contained salesman product line data sheets describing each calendar,
pricing sheets, fact sheets on the Beatles, information on why your company
should invest in these, Beatles concert dates for America, and other salesmen
type information sheets. Typically one or two large
orange-background calendars, several orange-background smaller calendars and
several of the blue background varieties were included in the promotional kit.
A complete promo kit with envelope containing all items is most desirable to
collectors today. These promotional calendars are harder to find
than the final production calendars that were made with actual store and
business names on them. The final production run calendars with actual
business names on them are quite plentiful to find these days

are 2 versions of this coin that were made: the most common version is
dated 1965-1966 on the reserve; the rarer coin is dated 1966-1967 on the

concert ticket giveaway on how to WIN BEATLES TICKETS on the back
cover. Inside shown also. Other items are concert
ticket stubs, buttons and concert programs from

1965 Shea Stadium

and printing. The original is printed on thin cardboard; posters made of
paper are fakes. Next, note that the 1966 Candlestick
Park Concert Poster has been faked many times too. If you study
the original as shown below in 3 photographs, with close-ups, you will quickly
see that the detail in the Beatles heads is far superior on the original
printing than any of the fakes. Also note the rare UK early concert posters, wow!
Again, please be aware that many of the original UK concert posters have been
faked. There are really good fakes out there on the UK concert posters, so
beware. See Concert Tickets
for more information and pictures.

Plastic drinking Cups or
Tumblers were
mfg in the USA in 1964 by Burrite. 4 different colored liners were made
for the Burrite items. Red, green, yellow and white. The picture of The Beatles was a paper
insert slid inside a clear plastic outer part. These paper inserts were
found in quantity a few years back and were inserted into a newly styled plastic
cup however the shape of the new cup was different than the older 1960's
issue; they are easily differentiated from the originals. .Burrite
also mfg a plastic mug with a color insert - that item was also reproduced but
again, easily set apart from the original as the original had a flat sided
handle.

Beatle Curtains were mfg and
available in the UK. Many different patterns and styles. Collectors
seek out actual curtains that were made originally as curtains, not just plain
material. Cloth was made by the same company that made Beatle Dresses.

The Beatles Disk-Go-Case
Record Carrying Case issued by Charter Industries, USA in 1966. Originally
issued with a cardboard record, a cardboard hangtag (with small hole)
and a wrap-around paper Beatles Official Disk-Go-Case banner. The hang tags have
been reproduced but you can easily tell the repro from the original; the
original hang tags have a small hole punched out to hold the string from.
The repros have a much larger hole. See below for pictures of an original
hang tag and pictures of all known coutnerfeits; keep in mind that most all the
repros were done on laser printers; just look to see if it's a laser print job
or not.. The 1966 Beatles Disk-Go-Case came in 10 different colors...
these are
the colors that are known to exist:
RED, LIGHT BLUE,
GREEN, FUCHSIA,
BROWN,
YELLOW,
PURPLE, LIGHT
PURPLE or LAVENDER,
PINK and HOT PINK and . Brown and Fuchsia are
by far the hardest colors
to find. The photographs below depict the actual colors as seen in person. See the next item listed for the great promotional material that
was used to market the Disk-Go-Cases.

Dolls, Bobbing Head Dolls:
There were originally 3 different sets made in the 1960's:
SET 1: 4" plastic
set which are marked HONG KONG on the bottoms. They originally came on a
cardboard backing card with a clear plastic blister pak over the front of them.
They have been heavily bootlegged. If you don’t buy them on the original backing
card, you can assume they are boots as it's quite hard to tell the diff betwixt
them. See pictures and additional text below for more information.
SET 2: 8" plaster
set; marked CAR MASCOTS on the bottom. Originally came in a cardboard box with
clear windows in the front. These have been bootlegged too except the box. The
boots have a number from 1 to 4 impressed into the back of the head of each
Beatle. Originals didn't have this impression. If they have the impressions,
they are boots. See pictures and additional text below for more
information.
SET 3: 14" plaster
set. These are the promo versions of the above versions that were sent out to
stores to promote the sale of the 8" high bobbers. They have not been bootlegged
and are very rare as they were never supposed to be sold to the public.
See pictures and additional text below for more information.
The 4" high plastic bobbing
head doll set, hand painted and mfg in Hong Kong in 1964. This set was
also used as cake decorations. This set is not one of the recent remakes
but is an original set from the Sixties! Both
front and back of dolls pictured. These were originally issued
on a cardboard backing card with a blister pak stapled onto the front - These
were called The Swingers Music Set. Most collectors only want to find the
4" set on the display card because they then know the set is original. It
is hard to distinguish betwixt the bootleg set and the real set if you don't
have the backing card.
The 8" high plaster composition Bobbing
Head Doll Set , hand painted, Licensed by NEMS and mfg by Car Mascots in 1964.
Originals have a Car Mascot circular sticker on the bottom and DO NOT have
numbers impressed into the back of the head. Originals also came in a
very nice purple box with a cellophane window. Second picture shows the
very rare Bobbing Head Promotional Poster, one that's not in many collectors'
hands.

The 14" high plaster composition Bobbing
Head Doll Promotional Set , hand painted, Licensed by NEMS and mfg by Car Mascots in 1964.
These large dolls were mfg to be used in store windows to promote the sales of
the 8" dolls in the box. Hard to find a complete set in nice
condition.

The Remco Beatles Dolls
mfg in the USA in 1964 by Remco. This set has not been reproduced but the
individual display boxes have. These came in either hard body or soft body
styles. Also shown is a brown cardboard doll box used by mail order
companies to ship the entire set of 4 dolls in. A store display poster is
also shown.

dresses that were store-bought as dresses and not hand-made. Some even
have a store-made custom cloth label sewn inside that says The
Beatles Dress in red lettering.

Mastro Industries mfg this toy Drum
in 1964 in the USA. Drum was issued with a metal stand, wooden sticks,
instruction booklet and a large cardboard box. All four Beatles are
featured on the drumskin. See Mastro section for more information on toy
instruments.

Selcol in the UK made 3 different toy Drums,
each packaged in it's own display box.

Drumsticks were mfg in the
1960's by Ludwig in the USA and Arbitor in the UK.
