Item YSBX101:  The Beatles 1968 Original Artwork from the 1968 The Beatles Yellow Submarine motion picture!!!  Offered is an original Yellow Submarine animation art painting from the Art Director of The Yellow Submarine, Mr. Heinz Edelmann!!  Unlike most art cel drawings or art cels which number in the thousands, these is a concept painting, a one-of-a-kind piece of original piece of artwork created by Heinz Edelmann himself, and was to be used at the end of the movie, but never was.   This piece was featured in the January 1969 German pop magazine TWEN.  Heinz Edelmann was a regular contributor to the magazine and right after The Yellow Submarine movie was released, he offered up this very cool painting for the January issue which featured The Yellow Submarine.  The caption box next to the painting translates loosely as such: "Eat the Beatles! It needed no more Happy Endings: Heinz Edelmann, creator of The Beatles film, Yellow Submarine.  Yellow Submarine has about 14 Happy Endings.  The bad Blue Meanies are converted to fraternize with the Pepperlanders.  And in the 15th end, the actual conclusion, was omitted.    This type of original Yellow Submarine artwork is few and far between. This hand painted gem, signed by Heinz Edelmann himself, shows off the actual conclusion of the film in his mind:  it features many different Pepperland People in various poses, depicting the Pepperlanders as violent, devious and evil  people!!  The Pepperlanders depicted in this artwork are shown in various poses either eating and/or killing Blue Meanies and Beatles.  Check out the Pepperlander at the top center, that's serving Ringo's head on a plate!!   Luckily, someone toned down there demeanor of the Pepperlanders prior to the final release of the film.  But in this painting of the actual conclusion of the film, it's quite cool to see Pepperlanders fighting back against The Blue Meanies!   In the film, the Pepperlanders didn't put up much of a fight at all, they were mostly all turned to stone during the initial attack of the Blue Meanies,  until finally, The Beatles themselves saved everyone with their music!!!   This hand painted gem measures approx 20" by 13.5" and it's painted directly onto white cardboard and is hand signed in black ink by Heinz Edelmann himself.   A fantastic hand painted masterpiece by the master himself, Heinz Edelmann!!!  Extremely rare!!  Overall in Very Good+ to Excellent condition.  This lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) from BeatleBay!!    SALES PRICE $7,500.

  Item YSBX102:  A 1965 Original Animation Cel w/Background of All 4 Beatles from the 1965 ABC Television Show The Beatles !!!  Offered is an original Beatles production animation cel of all 4 Beatles from the original 1965 Saturday Morning Cartoon!!  These are extremely rare, and hardly ever surface for sale.  The Beatles Saturday morning cartoons ran from 1965 through 1969 on ABC Television.  Al Brodax was the producer of the series.  Included with the cel are several original Black & White 8" by 10" photographs, many which have never been seen or published !!!     This production animation cel with background measures overall 17" by 10.5".  The Fab Four themselves measure 14.5" wide by just over 6.5" high.   The background is painted a solid robin's egg blue.   Ringo's drum head is on a separate celluloid and has been cut out and taped directly onto the background.  All 4 Beatles are hand painted directly onto 1 sheet of acetate and taped down to the background.  The acetate sheet has peg holes along the bottom edge. There is tape stain residue along each edge, but this only adds to the originality of the piece and in no way harms the artwork itself.   Overall the celluloid is in Very Good+ to Excellent condition with no noted paint loss!!! Simply a super rare and marvelous example of an original Beatles celluloid from 1965 Beatles Saturday Morning Cartoon Show!!!   This lot will be accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LOA) from BeatleBay!!    SOLD
