On this day The Beatles became film actors for the first time, hurriedly joining the closed-shop actors’ union Equity only minutes beforehand, on the platform at Paddington Station. They were proposed and seconded by Wilfred Brambell and Norman Rossington, the two main support players in the group’s debut feature film.   Item AT000:    A Fully Autographed Beatles Capitol Records Promotional Photograph signed on February 18th, 1964 !!! Offered is one of the coolest signed Beatles photographs we've ever had!   Each of The Beatles has signed this B/W 8" x 10" Capitol Records promotional photograph on February 18th, 1964 whilst on vacation in Miami Beach, Florida, USA.   Each has signed in green ballpoint pen:  Ringo Starr signed just over his head,  while John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison each signed beneath their feet.   The signatures aren't the darkest ones ever signed, but they are all still clearly visible.  This is a professional glossy photograph, and because of that, ballpoint pens tend to skip somewhat on a shiny surfaces such as this.  In person, the autographs are clearly visible, much better than what our scan shows.  The impression of each signature is also clearly visible when viewing the photograph in person.  Signed 8x10 photographs of The Beatles are quite rare to find these days, but Beatles signed Capitol Records promotional photographs are almost impossible to find!   It is especially rare to find a signed photograph that has the provenance this piece has!!!  The original obtainer of the autographs was written a 3 page write-up of how and when the autographs were obtained.  That synopsis is shown below.  Please click on any of the images below to see the picture full-size.  Frank Caiazzo of The Beatles Autographs has examined this signed Beatles photograph and given his approval that the signatures are 100% authentic!   This item will be accompanied with a Letter Of Authenticity (LOA) from the number one Beatles autograph expert in the world, Frank Caiazzo of The Beatles Autographs.  The overall condition of the photograph is Very Good to Very Good-, as there are tape marks/stains in each corner and a small cutout of the white border on the right side of the photograph.  The bottom edge of the photograph also appears to have been slightly cropped.  Please note that a professional paper restorer could remove these tape stains and border cut without much trouble, and improve the condition of the piece easily to Very Good+.  We can provide a professional reference for one if desired.  With the 50th anniversary of The Beatles First Visit to America coming up soon in 2014,  we can only speculate that the prices of such gems as this will only continue to escalate at that time.   SALE PRICE $10,995.

Item AT001:    A John Lennon Autographed First Issue of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band!!! The absolute best item to have signed by John Lennon is the Sgt Pepper album cover!!!  Here it is!!!  Plus it was signed by John in 1967 in England on a 1st issue release of the UK Beatles album!!!

This item will be accompanied with a Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) from the number one Beatles autograph expert in the world, Frank Caiazzo of The Beatles Autographs.   Mr. Caiazzo writes in his COA:  "The purpose of this letter is to serve as authentication of the signature of John Lennon.  This signature is on the inside gatefold cover of The Beatles' landmark album "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".  John has signed beautifully above his image on the inside gatefold photo of the band.  This signature dates from 1967, the year of the album's release".

John has signed his full name beautifully in blue ballpoint pen.  Additionally, Ringo Starr has signed also beside his picture on the inside gatefold but all that is left is practically only the impression of his pen.  This is just an added bonus.  The Ringo Starr autograph adds no value to this LP cover.  The value is in the John Lennon autograph.   The overall condition of the cover is Very Good to Very Good+.  There is 1 tack hole in each corner plus some some very minor tears here and there.   Overall this item will display excellently when matted and framed.

Items such as this do not surface very often.  This is an incredibly impressive display item and a terrific investment piece!!!  SALE PRICE $12,500.

Item AT005:   A Rare Beatles Autographed 1962 Parlophone Promotional Photocard Signed Right After The Release of The Beatles First Record in England LOVE ME DO!!!

Offered is a super nice set of 1962 Beatles Autographs signed on a rare First Issue Beatles Parlophone Promotional Photocard!!   The Beatles signed very few of these early Parlophone promotional picture cards so they are a real treat to find, especially when they are in nice condition with exceptional examples of their handwriting!!   In October of 1962, when The Beatles released their first single "Love Me Do", their new record company, Parlophone Records,  produced a small quantity of promotional photocards in 2 formats - a horizontal and a vertical, both with pictures being shot by Dezo Hoffman while The Beatles were in the studio. Almost all of these cards were signed on the reverse, because there was very little light area on the front of the cards for their signatures.   The Beatles signed this “vertical” format photocard on the reverse side in blue ink pen and blue fountain pen.  The photocard measures approx. 3.5”wide by 7.75” tall and is in Excellent condition, both front and reverse sides as shown below.  The signatures are quite bold and none of the signatures overlap. Each Beatle has signed beautifully on the reverse side of this very rare Parlophone Records promo photocard.  George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Starr have each signed in various shades of blue ballpoint pen while Paul McCartney has signed in dark blue fountain pen.  This autographed Parlophone Promotional Photocard has major historic significance as it was signed right after the release of their first single Love Me Do on October 5, 1962.  Love Me Do reached Number 17 on the UK Single Charts and was quite an accomplishment for the band at that time.  Little did they know then that their next single, Please Please Me,  would hit Number 1 on February 22, 1963 as would all subsequent single records they would release!!!   Please note that the 'J' in John and the 'G' in George would change dramatically by mid 1963 forward so this early style of their signatures are quite rare and desirable amongst collectors.  Frank Caiazzo of The Beatles Autographs has authenticated this autograph set and states it was signed in late 1962, per his Letter Of Authenticity.  This particular autograph set was also featured in Frank Caiazzo’s in-depth article on Beatles Autograph Collecting in the October and November 1995 issues of Autograph Collector Magazine!  That entire article is also reprinted by permission in our Autograph Examples section of our website.   Mr. Caiazzo’s LOA (Letter of Authenticity) is included  with the purchase of this autograph set and is pictured below.      SALE PRICE $10,495..
